Ether is a fragrance brand conceived as a pathway back into the world of dreams. Each scent is designed to evoke memories of places, people, and sensations that may never have existed outside the unconscious.
Positioned between an experimental fragrance laboratory and a premium perfume house, Ether combines scientific precision with a calm, poetic, and highly visual identity. Its clean design system contrasts with ethereal imagery to create an immersive world where fragrance becomes more than a product. It becomes an instrument for accessing memory, imagination, and the subconscious.
White is the primary color of Ether’s visual identity, reinforcing its laboratory-inspired character while evoking a subconscious sense of calm, clarity, and stillness. Blur is also a fundamental part of the brand’s DNA, reflecting the indirect and fragmented way in which dreams and memories appear in the mind. Rather than presenting images with complete definition, the visual language embraces uncertainty and softened perception. Throughout the art direction, white remains a constant reference, appearing in the models’ clothing, the environments, and the objects that compose each scene.
The bottle design was guided by a simple principle: never fully upright, always at rest, mirroring the position of the body during sleep. Three initial fragrances were developed for the collection: Morphé, inspired by Morpheus, the Greek god of dreams; Thanatos, the personification of death and the twin brother of Hypnos; and Nyx, the primordial goddess of night. Together, these figures represent different states connected to sleep, dreams, darkness, and the unconscious. None of the bottles can stand in a conventional upright position. Each vessel rests at a subtle angle, translating the physical state of sleep into the form and behavior of the object.
Created for a younger audience seeking more meaningful alternatives to traditional luxury, Ether proposes a different relationship with everyday objects. Rather than offering perfume as a symbol of status, the brand presents it as a complete sensory experience, carefully formulated to reconnect people with the intangible worlds created within their own minds.
